What it measures

An LFT typically measures:

Enzymes: Such as Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP), and Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT). Elevated levels can indicate liver inflammation or damage.
Proteins: Including albumin, which the liver produces, and total protein (albumin and globulins). Low albumin levels may suggest liver disease or malnutrition.
